8 day old Newborn Session in Hanford | Studio Style and Outdoor Newborn Photography

This sweet family just had their second baby, a baby girl. Big brother is only 2 1/2 years old and super excited about his new baby sister. The parents asked to incorporate a few of their personal belongings, see if you can guess which picture showcases their props 🙂

Since this was baby #2, mom was happy to agree to let me take her baby in their front yard to do some outdoor shots as well. I have been super excited to start incorporating more outdoor newborn photography into my work, especially now that the weather is perfect for it. Sadly, many first time parents are not super willing to let their brand new baby go outside (which I totally respect and understand, I was the same way when my daughter was a baby). It just means it is a little harder for me to find willing parents.

Sweet Carolyn was wide awake for most of her session, check out how many shots we got of her looking right at the camera! She is such an engaged little girl 🙂
