For those of you that watched my live video on my Facebook Page, here are the images I was talking about. I can’t even tell you how happy these pictures of me and my daughter make me feel. Me holding my baby girl, while I still can. Getting lots of kisses and snuggles, honoring our special relationship before we begin our journey of adding another child to our family.

Like most moms, I am so excited to meet our new baby girl, but I am also sad. I am sad that this era of my life is ending where my whole world was this one little girl. I worry about whether my love for our new child will take away from my love for our current child. I worry she will feel left out, pushed out. I worry there just won’t be enough of me to go around.

I used my fear to light a fire under butt and finally honor my relationship with my daughter. To shine a big beautiful light on our love so that I can put these pictures on our walls and highlight our special bond.

I have been putting this off for years but I am so glad I did it. Big thanks to my mom, Jena Maciel, for tromping through the marsh with us to get to this little patch of flowers, and capturing these beautiful pictures for me #bestmomever #mymomisbetterthanyours
